Dr. Nayak presented a paper on Trends & Development in Fibre industry and its impact on demand of cotton.The  trade off between the fibres in the modern world  and  then emerging pressure on cotton demand was the main crux of Dr Naik’s presentation.

Asia Cotton and Textiles Summit 2016 was held at Ho Chi Minh City, the commercial city of Viet Nam. The Summit was attended by several experts of the world to discuss the emerging trends of the cotton textiles industry in the globe and has been a successful venture to share the expert views on a single platform. The plennary included many industry leaders across the globe besides the the chairman and Director General of ITMF.

Indias’ Commonwealth Trade Symposium held at Taj Mahal Hotel New Delhi on 29- 30th June  discussed several issues on the development of  SME sector industry across  the globe focussing on the Commonwealth nations. Dr Rashmi Banga, Advisor and Head Trade Competitiveness led the programme and attended by several countries around the globe. The symposium was addressd by the Secretary  MSME and Additional Secretary Ministry of Commerce. Dr P Nayak  presented on the concept note on India’s commonwealth SME Association and there was a decision to take ahead the task by forming an Advisory Board, which will look into the administrative , legal and operational issues indepth before providing green signal to it. was in July 2016
